If someone had told me that two years into sobriety, I would be committing to two years of general service, I would have numerous 6 A.M. coffee commitments, I would have forgiven my alcoholic father, and I would have read an amends letter over the grave of my mother, I don't think I would have stuck around. AA told me that more would be revealed if I did the work and stayed out of the result.
