Not a requirement

To the newcomer, "ninety meetings in ninety days" must seem to be part of AA. But, if "ninety in ninety" were requirements of sobriety, then most old-timers wouldn't qualify. For some newcomers, 180 in ninety is good. It just isn't what the early AAs did. We need to let newcomers know what AA is and what AA isn't: AA is not mandatory; and AA does not require you to chant, pray, hold hands, hug, or sing.
