Sober Necessities
"Don't drink, and go to meetings.” Is that really enough?
If I had a dime for every time I heard the expression, "Don't drink, and go to meetings," I'd be able to afford some of that top shelf stuff I never got around to drinking. Some AAs whip out that slogan like it's so easy to "just don't drink. . ." Some of those folks have years of sobriety to back it up. But it makes no sense at all, to me.
