A couple of months ago, I was at a meeting where the chair-person began with some readings, followed by announcements by the secretary, more announcements from members of the group, a humorous anecdote, and more readings to introduce the topic. The first member of the "audience" got to share when we were twenty-five minutes into the meeting. Later there was a break for the Seventh Tradition collection.
