A woman makes peace with her past

I am currently doing a nineteen-year sentence at a women's correctional facility in Plymouth. It has been almost two years, yet at times I still wish I would wake up from this nightmare. You see, one Sunday night, I got behind the wheel of my car drunk. The result was tragic--one dead, one injured, and one (me) incarcerated. That was my last night of partying, the night a fatal action altered so many lives.
