I'm in a state prison in Virginia because of my constant drinking and drug use. I've been on a path of destruction for over thirty years. Soon, I'll be forty-seven years old. For the past fifteen years I've been trying to get help for my alcoholism, thinking that the help would come to me. But if I had gone after the help myself, instead of waiting for it, I probably wouldn't be writing this letter.
