Report: Alcoholism treatment good for bottom line

Treatment for alcoholism through an employee assistance program (EAP) can lead to improved work attendance, reduced turnover, and lower health care costs, according to a 2007 report by Ensuring Solutions to Alcohol Problems, a research group based at George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, D.C.
