My First Meeting
After months of online AA, an alcoholic risks an actual meeting
I have been hanging around online AA for the past eleven months or so, but have not been to a face-to-face meeting until today. There is only one reason it's taken so long--I've been scared: scared of speaking in public, scared of meeting new people, and scared of admitting out loud that I am indeed an alcoholic. But, no more.
