Before I found the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, I'd lost all hope that I'd ever find a way off the relentless merry-go-round alcohol had seduced me into riding. After 30 years of trying the same drinking experiments and expecting different results, losing all that was good in my life was fast becoming a foregone conclusion.
