As a longtime Grapevine subscriber, gift giver, and GvR for my home group, I am a strong advocate of our meeting in print. I have been pleased to see the recent makeover as well, and the artwork is superb. My letter is to ask the editors to please be a bit more careful about our Tradition of anonymity. I was shocked to see what looks like a full face image of a person on page 27 of the October 2008 edition, and have recently seen a cover that had a full profile photo in focus, on the cover. I am concerned that a person who is new to AA might get the idea that it is okay to do this on other AA materials at the local level, since they "saw it done that way in the Grapevine." I encourage you all to keep doing your fine work, but keep in mind Tradition Twelve's reminder that "the principle of anonymity has an immense spiritual significance."
