I wholeheartedly disagree that mandated AA ("Court-Ordered AA," October 2008) is somehow pushing folks away from AA or sobriety. I was made to come to AA in the beginning. It was seven years later, August 2001, that I was ready for sobriety; the seed had been planted during those mandated meetings.
