Storm surge

We live in Port Bolivar. All of the houses on this side of this little peninsula are on stilts. I can look out of the kitchen window and see the ships going to the Galveston ship Channel. I wondered if it would really be a big storm this time --it was only Category Two, the television said. No matter what happened, I knew I had to accept the things I could not change.
