A CHILD OF WOODSTOCK

Raised on alcohol and excess, an artsy member discovers contentment in her later years

I'M 67 years old, and this year I am working on my 21st year of sobriety in AA. I write these words and instantly think: How can I possibly be this old? How can I not have had a drink since December 1987? Well, the answer to the second question is obvious. And, come to think of it, probably the first: AA is how. My gratitude is boundless.
