Seeing straight
The essay on the First Step in the "Twelve and Twelve" says: "we have warped our minds into such an obsession for destructive drinking that only an act of providence can remove it from us." I looked up "providence" in Webster's dictionary. It read: "God conceived as the power sustaining and guiding human destiny." Wow.
