THE NIGHT SKY

I am of Native heritage of the Algonquin tribe and very proud of it. I grew up hearing negative things about Native people--that we were drunks, that we were evil. This made me very angry, and I carried it all through my life. I had a chip on my shoulder and dared anyone to knock it off.
