Two strangers at the top of a mountain pass share about staying sober

When I got sober, I thought all I needed to do was to continue to live the same life I had been living while drinking, only now without taking a drink. I didn't know some situations would be more challenging or should be avoided altogether. I didn't know that I needed to learn how to handle every social situation anew as a sober woman. I didn't even know how to ask for help at that point. So when my bicycle friends invited me to do the "Death Ride" with them, I immediately said yes without thinking about the consequences.
