Game over

A young woman admits her life is out of control

In early September 2003, I found myself laid up drunk in my apartment, unable to shower on a regular basis, 40 pounds underweight, and sleeping in my own urine. I could not wash a load of laundry, because washing, drying and folding took too much time away from drinking. I would simply restart the washer and dryer to avoid having to do anything with the clothes. Food was no longer a necessity, so I snacked on green olives and tortilla chips for nourishment, along with my case or more of light beer every day. I drank until I passed out, woke up shaking from the inside out, and drunk until I passed out again.
