IT'S NOT ABOUT ME?
With time, an AA begins to think more about others
Whenever I am at a meeting, or a luncheon, or even just having a casual conversation, I find it funny that when someone says something along the lines of "There is one person I would really like to thank," I immediately begin preparing the "aw shucks, you're welcome" speech in my head. No matter how close or far I am from thinking about the Twelve Steps or Twelve Traditions, I can always manage to squeeze my ego into anybody's moment of gratitude.
