Pain and progress

Eight years ago I walked into a six month inpatient treatment center, completely broken. I had just delivered two babies prematurely, each weighing two pounds. While pregnant, I had gone to the doctor twice. After my second visit the staff told me that if I didn't clean up, they would turn me in to the authorities. I never went back.
