Dear Grapevine

Kudos to you, Ray C., author of "Short and sweet" ("Dear Grapevine," December 2009). Your response to the reader who preferred shorter stories was a beautifully delivered account of your personal experiences. I read it more than once so I could savor your way with words. Everyone's story is his own story no matter how long or short; simple or complicated; poetic or otherwise. Thank you for a very creative and excellent example of good, orderly, spiritual, concise sobriety. You surely are an example of how to carry the message to the alcoholic in, and outside, the rooms.
