Dear Grapevine

THANKS to Bert W. for "Continental Shift" (April 2010). He reminded me of my own shifting experience of "God." I was never comfortable with the concept of a supernatural being. Then, I read Bill W.'s account of a Buddhist monk who liked the Twelve Steps better when he substituted the word "good" for "God." This fit my experience. Yet, I have prayed to the God of my childhood at times and I am grateful "he" is still there. I am also grateful to Bill W. and the AA pioneers who left us so much room to find "a faith that works."
