Crazy town

MY first time sober was 1978, when I was 19 years old. I had been drinking for about four years, and any activity involved drinking before, during and/or after. I drank over feelings of sadness and happiness, anger and love, resentment and forgiveness, jealousy, family abuse and family love, less than or better than--any and all feelings. I drank while bowling, roller-skating or playing softball; at weddings, funerals, graduations, birthdays, holidays or family gatherings; when I was by myself or when I was with others.
