Cult-like or just welcoming?

Meetings filled with religiosity

Oh yes, I am listening, Bob. And I have done just that . . . stopped going to meetings, pretty much. I got sober in Chicago 37 years ago and have been sober one day at a time since, all thanks to AA, its members, service work and regular attendance at meetings. But about 10 or so years ago I noticed my attendance at meetings was dropping off. That started the round of checking out all sorts of groups in my area, only to find a level of noise, chanting and cult-like religiosity that I found very off-putting.
