A woman from Down Under travels a rough road to sobriety

I was born in Wellington in central New South Wales, Australia, in 1926 and raised on a wheat and sheep property about 16 miles from Wellington. My father was a quiet and gentle man and did not drink. My mother was quick and bad tempered and drank rarely. I had three sisters and I was the third eldest. Father viewed the two eldest girls as the girls and me and my younger sister as the kids. At sheep shearing time my mother would be busy cooking multiple meals for all the shearers every day. It was a very busy household.
