No monopoly
'Sound bites' claiming AA as the only path misrepresent the program, a member writes
IF YOU stop drinking without AA, you are destined to be miserable." "If you stop going to AA meetings, you are destined to relapse." Remarks like these make seductive sound bites, but they're untrue and misrepresent the program. AA has neither a monopoly on recovery from alcoholism nor a requirement for members to continually attend meetings.
