An air of unity

A delegate shares about the 60th General Service Conference

EVERY year, policy and direction for AA are discussed at a week-long meeting of trustees, directors, key staff members and 93 elected area delegates from around the U.S. and Canada. This year, instead of New York City, the delegates met in quiet Rye Brook, N.Y. This was my second such General Service Conference. Delegates serve only two years, and the second year for me has definitely been easier because I had a sense of what to expect, what's most important and how to budget my energy to get through the long, difficult week. The official, detailed report is available every fall through your group's GSR, but here are some of the highlights.
