Standing on the edge
A suicidal leap was her first step toward recovery
My first drinking experience happened at 16. I had just wanted to catch a buzz. Instead of a buzz, I got plastered. It was not long until passing out became a common occurrence for me—as did drunk driving. Humiliating behavior from the night before lead to feelings of remorse. This pattern of drinking continued throughout college. Drinking didn’t stop me from earning good grades, so I never considered my “partying” a problem.
