The Case of the Amber-Colored Liquid

Mom's newly sober, and there's alcohol in the house

After a lengthy period of hospitalization in New Hampshire, I was moved to New Jersey and admitted to a rehab center, where I spent several weeks. With the help of therapy, proper diet, and an introduction to AA, I gradually began to recuperate from my active alcoholism. After my release, I moved in with my son and his family until I was able to find a home of my own. This, of course, was not an ideal situation, as they led very active lives; but it was the only solution to the problem of “What will we do with mother?”
