Practice Gratitude and Watch It Grow

After a visit with her family, she remembers the good things

Last night, I led a meeting up here in Connecticut, and I ended my story by saying that I felt particularly grateful because a visit from my family had gone off so well. They had done so much to make the visit a success, instead of a major engagement on the battlefield. I was grateful because I had heard a couple of my own character defects loud and clear. I heard my own tone of voice, my own words, when I got up-tight. The family had made me laugh at myself.
