Slips ahoy? No way!
I am three years sober, and I recently went on a cruise in the Caribbean. There was a room set aside for the AA meetings—the Captain’s Board Room, and it had AA literature and meeting information.  It was quite exciting to find this on a cruise ship, which could be so dangerous for an alcoholic.  I met very interesting people, some sober for a few weeks, some sober for many, many years.  The meetings kept me grounded and focused on my sobriety while on my much-deserved vacation.  They were my safe house.
