I was drunk in a hotel on business—again. I had drunk my “in public” limit at dinner with colleagues. I bought another six for the hotel room, and there I was, drunk and bored. I attempted to check my email, but was afraid I might respond inappropriately, so I reconsidered that idea. Why not just surf the web and find something of interest? The thought of finding AA popped into my head. Have you crossed the line? Are you an alcoholic? Don’t even entertain the idea, my head screamed. Using a business computer to search AA sites was not a good idea. I mean, what if they searched the history and AA popped up in the URL list? But for some reason, I threw caution to the wind and searched anyway.
