When I was just a few weeks sober, I was asked to take a business trip to Concord, Calif. After talking with my sponsor, I decided to make the trip. At the end of my first day I was feeling vulnerable and called AA, where I was quickly referred to a meeting that made me feel really welcome. I attended AA every night that week.
