Breaking Through the Denial

It took several false starts in AA before he understood powerless

I grew up in a typical middle class household in the 1960s and 70s. I was the youngest of three kids and had the benefit of a loving extended family. Alcohol and addiction were not a part of my family or culture. My parents provided a home that was traditional and Jewish in its ritual and progressively humanistic and liberal in its values.
