Her eagerness to volunteer at her Central Office led to a job at a place she knew quite well

When I was just a couple of years sober in AA, my sister suggested I visit our local Central Office here on the west coast so that I could ask about being a volunteer. So one Saturday afternoon I went. When I arrived, I was astounded. On one of my stints of homelessness I used to park my car in that very parking lot, facing the door, and I never even noticed it was there. I had chosen that particular lot because it was located along a fast-moving thoroughfare, and it was well-lit.
