Waiting for her Miracle

I got to AA through a court order. It was either go there or go to jail. Begrudgingly I sat in meetings, unhappy, as everyone around me seemed to be in good spirits. I kept hearing, “Don’t leave before the miracle happens.” Yet, I sat there not feeling or seeing anything at all. I decided that everyone was brainwashed and looney. But I kept on coming back, not because people told me to, but to stay out of jail.
