A Cake for Charley
Here I am, a man of 74 years, celebrating his fourth AA birthday, happy to be here and happy to be alive.
My home group here in Kansas holds its monthly birthday meeting on the last Saturday of the month. Lately, because of the heat wave, attendance has been smaller than usual, but this Saturday, alcoholics just kept coming in until we had 45 people here.
