She was excited to get her 30 days, but how was she ever going to face the upcoming holiday season?
On October 14, 1987, I fell to my knees in my pigpen and said, “God help me.” I had never said it before with such desperation. Around 4:00 a.m., I called AA’s hotline. Two women came to my home and told me about alcoholism and let me know that God does love me. Oh, how I needed to hear that.
