25 Years of Love

My first AA International Convention was in Seattle, Washington, in 1990. I’ll always remember sitting in the Kingdome, feeling, for the first time, a part of a great whole. I also remember looking around at thousands of recovered alcoholics thinking, This takes all of us. It would not be quite the same if any one of us were missing. I felt my significance and my insignificance at the same time. This powerful realization changed me forever and sent me on an amazing journey into a life I could never have imagined.
