Determined to stay sober and work the program, some women in Ukraine make their way

The creation of the Kiev Womens’ group in Ukraine was a no-brainer that just kind of happened. When I lived in Kiev from 1998 to 2001, I attended a Ukrainian/Russian AA Discussion meeting. Each person spoke one language or the other, and both was OK too. One Sunday, there were some new women there. When it was their turn, one after another, three in a row, said, “I’ve read the Step chapters in the ‘Twelve and Twelve.’ Now what do I do?”
