Dear Grapevine

Ring of love

A group of us, the New Life Group, held a sober retreat over the summer and there was a big thunderstorm our last night at the campsite. Water soaked the trees and the wind knocked a huge limb down right on top of one of our cabins! Fortunately, nobody got hurt. A cherry picker truck was called in from Idyllwild to remove the tree branch. We were all preparing to leave, when I made a comment to the driver of the truck that it would be a great if we could take a picture of our group prayer circle from up in his bucket. Shockingly, he agreed. The funny part is, our guy with the camera was terrified of heights, but he agreed to go up. All the stars aligned, no one was hurt, and God saw fit to let us get the photo (above). Hope you can use it. Keep up the good work, Grapevine. Love your magazine.
