My father owned a tavern in Iron Mountain, Wisconsin. After he died, my brother and I decided to rent it out. When a local AA group rented it, we said we would tear out the bar part, but they said no. The members told us it reminded them of their drinking problem, so we left it there. The building had a front entrance and a back door to an alley. The stairs to the back alley had 12 steps, so the AA group pasted a Tradition on each step! I’ve attended meetings there as I’m also an alcoholic. I’m so impressed with what the group did to my father’s tavern.
