My drinking story is rather simple. I drank, I got drunk and I fell asleep. I figured if I called it a blackout, I’d be an alcoholic. I didn’t have any DUIs, didn’t lose a family, didn’t lose a job, but still I felt hopeless. The dis-ease I felt was in my very being. I freely gave my soul away to alcohol.
