Taking Grapevines into a women’s prison to help them write their stories ends up helping everyone

A friend of mine has been taking a meeting into a women’s prison for some time now. It’s quite a commitment in time and effort. The drive to the prison alone from her home is more than one hour because of bumper-to-bumper, rush-hour traffic. Then she must go through the usual security clearance at the prison. There have even been times that she has made the long drive only to be told that the prison is in lock-down or that her paperwork cannot be found.
