What’s In A Dream?

I was more than five years sober and feeling what I’ll term “neutral.” I had worked all Twelve Steps and I felt light years away from my bottom, yet I wasn’t happy, joyous and free, either. I discussed this with my sponsor who shared that she had gone off to a spiritual retreat in a state out West and felt that it had done her a world of good. I’m one of those types who follows pretty closely in my sponsor’s footsteps, because she has what I want, so off I went. I knew that many members take an annual or semi-annual retreat, so I was looking forward to it.
