I was talking to Otto M., a dear friend from high school one day, when he looked at me and said, “So you don’t think you should give back what was so freely given to you?” What had precipitated this comment was a statement I had made about not celebrating my upcoming 20th anniversary with my home group. The truth was that I really didn’t have a home group.
