Letter from the Editor

Being a newcomer in AA can be a wonderful, yet profoundly confusing, experience. When we first come in, we’re told, “Don’t drink, no matter what.” But how do we do that? We’re greeted with suggestions, slogans, literature and prayers—it’s enough to make a brand new member’s head spin. In this month’s special section, we feature stories by AA members who have been there. We hope newcomers can find hope in them and grab onto this life-saving program.
