Roadhouse Ghosts

In early sobriety, I went to visit my ex-girlfriend and best friend while she was in prison. She had been in a special program, which might have knocked many months off her sentence, but she had been kicked out of it. We were both very unhappy about this and discussed during our visit things I might be able to do to help her. But deep down, we both knew that I was powerless over the situation.
