Under the stars
When I went camping, I used to take great care in making sure I packed enough alcohol for the trip. Car camping was of course the easiest, as I could bring just about any amount I wanted, and I could drive to get more if I ran low. Backpacking trips took more care, as storage space was at a premium. Several nights out would require substantial amounts of hard liquor, which of course was so difficult to moderate. I would usually bring other drugs to help me get through. I can remember one trip in particular when I didn’t bring enough whiskey and ended up arguing with my wife that we had to cut the trip short because my hips hurt, when in fact I was more hurting for liquor.
