The author of “Open-minded” shares about his struggles in AA as an unbeliever since 1988. After meeting other AA members who did not believe in God, he helped start a freethinkers’ group, yet found it was not that easy to do so. He also invites readers to appreciate their fellow nonbelieving members, “with everything we have to offer.”
