Nowhere To Go But Up

Her bottom didn’t hit when she found her mother dead, and she kept on drinking when her child was born, but when she ended up behind bars, she realized having nowhere to go but up can be a blessing

I had my first beer at age eight, but didn’t start drinking regularly until I was about 11, which is when I moved in with my mom who let me do almost anything I wanted. I began smoking weed, doing cocaine and drinking heavily by age 13. I found my Mom dead when I was 15, and that’s when I got out of control. I went to live with my Dad and snuck out of his house to drink. I found myself using crack cocaine with a friend’s Mom. I skipped school to drink and drug and it became my life for almost a year.
